Products I Love from Pixi Skintreats

Skincare is important to me, and I like to experiment with different products and routines. I'm not one who gravitates towards luxury or overly expensive products though- so I like to try out mid range brands to find products that leave my skin glowing and healthy.

I always follow other bloggers and makeup artists to watch their skincare routines and products that they recommend. Pixi Skintreats has been popping up non stop the last while and I finally decided to try out the brand. I picked up three items to replace products I ran out of in my skincare routine. I grabbed Vitamin-C Tonic, Rose Oil Blend, and Collagen Eye Serum. Spoiler alert, I am in love with all three products. If you are someone who is conscious of whether a brand tests on animals, Pixi Skintreats does not test on animals. (Yay!)

Vitamin-C Tonic, $20.00, https://beauty.shoppersdrugmart.ca/Beauty/Brands/Pixi/c/PIXI

This toner is rich in antioxidants, which promotes collagen production in your skin. It also contains orange flower water and vitamin C which will help to brighten the appearance of your skin. They also list ferulic acid as an ingredient which is said to provide an antioxidant boost along with probiotics to balance your skin. Alcohol and paraben free, this product is great for all skin types.

What does it do for my skin?

I use this product after double cleansing and it still removes leftover impurities in my skin. I usually found toners to be drying on my skin, however this product does not leave my face feeling tight or dry. I noticed more of a healthy glow and the subtle orange scent is invigorating in the morning and relaxing at night before bed.

Rose Oil Blend, $34.00, https://beauty.shoppersdrugmart.ca/Beauty/Brands/Pixi/c/PIXI

This face oil contains minerals and healthy fats from almond oil, rose hip oil, jojoba oil and antioxidants and vitamins from pomegranate seed oil. Rose geranium oil is said to tone and balance your skin while orange peel oil brightens. This product is also paraben free.

What does it do for my skin?

Many oils I have used I felt like they just sat on top of my skin and did not soak in and actually hydrate. This oil I feel absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling moisturized and healthy. I apply this directly after the tonic and before my moisturizer during my night time routine. If I feel like my skin needs extra hydration in the mornings before I apply my makeup, I add a few drops into my moisturizer.

Collagen Eye Serum, $34.00, https://beauty.shoppersdrugmart.ca/Beauty/Brands/Pixi/c/PIXI

This eye serum is formulated with acacia collagen which is said to plump and boost the skins elasticity around the eyes. Hyaluronic acid firms and hydrates the sensitive skin around your eye area. As the other products mentioned, it is also paraben free.

What does it do for my skin?

This is probably my favourite of the three products. Out of all areas on my face, my eyes are definitely the area aging the quickest. I am quite fair skinned, so I have always struggled with dark under eye circles. This serum almost immediately brightened my under eye area! I am also prone to getting milia around my eye area if I use creams or serums that are too heavy. This product is lightweight and does not clog up my skin.

Have you tried Pixi Skintreats yet? What products did you love and which ones should I try next? Let me know in the comments!
